    My work

    Designing better heart procedures

Using detailed replicas of individual patients' hearts, our surgeons can plan complex repair procedures in advance.

    3D printing in medicine

Dr. Anwar talks about the challenges and opportunities of using 3D technologies to improve surgical care.

    "Practice swings" before surgery

When operating on a walnut-sized heart, there's no room for error. UCSF is using 3D technologies to help surgeons prepare.

    Saving future lives
