Dr. Melissa Hurwitz is a pediatric gastroenterologist and hepatologist who cares for children from birth through early adulthood. Her areas of expertise include nutrition, gastroesophageal reflux, celiac disease, liver disease, failure to thrive, abdominal pain, and allergic conditions related to the digestive system. In working with patients and their families, her overarching goal is to educate them on all aspects of well-being.

After earning a bachelor's degree in psychology at the University of California, Los Angeles, Hurwitz earned her medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine. She completed a residency in pediatrics at UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital and a fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology at Stanford Medicine.
