UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals aim to create a cheerful, healing environment for kids and their families. Children take comfort from having their loved ones nearby, and most patient rooms are equipped with a sleeper sofa or chair to allow one parent or guardian to stay overnight. Amenities such as family lounges, playrooms and gardens are available nearby at both the San Francisco and Oakland campuses.
