Neurology Program

The Pediatric Neurology Program provides world-class care for a wide range of conditions involving the brain, spinal cord and nerves. We treat kids of all ages, from newborns to teens. Because we work solely with children, all of our services are designed to meet the special needs of young bodies and minds.

Our team includes pediatric neurologists with advanced training in many areas related to children's neurologic health. As many of our young patients have complex conditions that require other types of expertise, we often work closely with colleagues in pediatric neurosurgery, rehabilitation medicine, neurointerventional radiology, neuropsychology and other specialties, to ensure the most comprehensive care.

Together with our dedicated support staff, we strive to make the treatment process easier on families, from coordinating same-day appointments with multiple specialists to linking parents with support resources both within UCSF and elsewhere. We have locations throughout the Bay Area; see our map below.

Often, children are evaluated in the Neurology Program and then referred to one of our specialty clinics. For a full list of neurology clinics and programs, please visit the Pediatric Brain Center.
